The eastern part of Valdorba region is the most wild and mountainous. ”Leozarra” is named after the bus which, some years ago, ran through this valley. It reminds us how large this municipality is, and how scattered its inhabitants are.
This route offers a good mixture between sport, culture and mountains, enabling us to climb up to its more panoramic summits, as Sierra de Guerinda ridge, San Pelayo peak and Sario area. It also goes deep through the valleys passing by some of their heritage landmarks, which treasure several region’s Romanesque jewels.
The dramatic views from the mountain summits are not to be missed. From there, we’ll be able to sight the Higa, Izaga peak and the Pyrenees, as welll as the tiny villages spreaded out in the valleys.
